Several years ago I was awakened in the night by a frightful dream about spiritual warfare.  That night, the Lord impressed upon me, that as a Christian, He has called me to be a strong and alert warrior in His army.  For years I had been living my spiritual life like I was on the beach, in cut-offs, T-shirt, and bare feet…a passive and often defeated Christian, daily getting hammered by satan and his cohorts.  Everyone is on a spiritual battlefield everyday, even if we do not think about it or believe it.  That battlefield is fought in the mind and through prayer and living in obedience to God’s Word.  The Lord wants Christians to shine His light into the dark places so others can see His truth.  He gives us the power through His Spirit to be aggressive and victorious against the forces of darkness everywhere we go.  Hopefully this painting will be an encouraging reminder of His "calling" for you.
